Proposed sequel to “Prefab Days”
Project Group Members have indicated a desire to publish a sequel to Prefab Days. It is envisioned that the new book should be published in December 2008 but this is entirely dependent on source material being submitted by ex-prefab dwellers. It is not intended that this would be a copy of the first book if you have any new ideas or memories and photographs you wish to have included in the book please let the Prefab Project Secretary have the details as soon as possible, but before the end of March 2008. Photographs must be in jpeg format. Please indicate your consent to the photograph becoming copyright of the Belle Vale Prefab Project to prevent any problems on publication. It would be helpful to identify people on the photo especially if they are not members of your own family. All submissions should be sent to the Prefab Project Secretary at bvpp@blueyonder.co.uk
The Gateacre Society is a sister organisation who have taken an interest in the Belle Vale Prefab Project, and both communities shared common boundaries. Many of the members of the Gateacre Society are ex prefab dwellers and there is an obvious shared interest in the history of our area. To this end it has been agreed that both web sites should contain links to each other and a visit to the Gateacre Society web site will rekindle old memories. Select the following link www.gatsoc.org.uk
No e–mail or web address of individuals will be displayed on this web site without specific permission of the person concerned. If you wish to contact someone on the bulletin board who has not given an e-mail address please send your details to bvpp@blueyonder.co.uk and they will be forwarded to the person concerned. The Belle Vale Prefab Project will not accept any responsibility or liability in the event of abuse of the contact details published, or in the event of a third party not responding to any contact. If you make contact with the Prefab Project it is understood that you agree to these conditions.
